Essential Tools and Equipment Every Bar Should Have

Here is a list of essentials every bar should have. This list is the basic items to make a wide variety of drinks. Using this list of tools and equipment your bar should run smoothly and efficiently.

1.Bar Mats- This is where bartenders prepare drinks. The heavy rubber helps to prevent spills and protects the surface of the bar from moisture.

2.Service mats- where the bartender places drinks that are ready to be delivered to customers by servers. The mat provides a safe spot to keep drinks from spilling, which reduces the cost of waste.

3.Bar Spoon- Helps to mix cocktails, distilled spirit and helps to maintain a balance of flavor.

4.Bottle Opener- This is the tool that no bar can go without. Wall mounted openers are faster and will not be misplaced behind the bar.

9.Cocktail pourers- Using measured pourers helps to ensure operating costs stay minimal. Pourers are placed on top of bottles to ensure consistent and even shots of liquor.

10.Cutting boards- are necessary for a safe and sanitary surface for cutting garnishes for cocktails.

11.Ice buckets- can serve as a wine cooler to keep wine chilled or as a ice bucket if the bartender is working the other side of the bar.

12.Jigger- are used to ensure the correct measurements of liquor so that no ones overpouring. There are different sizes from .5 oz to 2 oz.

13.Muddler- are used to create cocktails and crush up herbs, spices, and fruits to release and infuse drinks.

14.Rimmer- helps to rim a glass’s edge with sugar or salt. Perfect for margaritas and other drinks.

15.Glass washer- a glass washer is specifically designed for bar glasses and makes it easier to keep up with the demand for clean glasses during busy times at the bar.
